I'm Dawn and I'm new to this website. I am 30 years old and have been using cocaine and alcohol for 15 years.  Today, for the first time EVER in my life, I decided NO MORE!  I am ready to get off of this crap before I lose everything.  I am so scared to go to my first meeting tomorrow, but at the same time I'm excited to get clean and finally have my life back.

I am really feeling lonely right now and would love to make some new friends that have been through the recovery process.  I want to have someone that can relate to what I'm going through.

Congratulations on taking the first step to a new life!

I'm sure you will find many people to help and support you when you attend your meeting tomorrow -- make sure you ask for phone numbers so that you have someone to call when crazy cravings hit.  We're here to support you, too -- please come visit us in chat or attend our online meetings so we can get to know you!

Thank you for the warm welcome.  I've stopped crying and am now ready for the next phase in my life.  Yesterday was hard, actually admitting that I have no control of this.  But I'm ready to move forward and regain control of my life.

I'm a bit nervous about my first meeting.  I'm not really sure what I should bring/or what I should do.
