Hello all, I have recently come to the conclusion that I am a alcoholic. Many things have brought me to this conclusion and I would like to be apart of this community to have support in my quest to lead a alcohol free life. I have drank beer for 10 years, 5 years on a everyday basis. I have not had a drink in 6 days and I have no desire to pick it up again because of what happens when I do drink. My story , I'm sure is a common one among this community. Any help in this journey will be a life saver not just for my family but , for myself. I will be more than happy to chat with any member of this community at anytime. Thanks for the forum and I hope to get to know some of the members of this board. Baphom3t

Hello Baphom3t; Welcome to the realm. I am still fairly new here myself. There are a few things I can tell you about the recovery realm though. The people here are absolutely awesome. You can find a list of online meetings on the home page. Also there is the fellowship room in the chat room section. You will find much great conversation there. Again welcome. T Bear

Hello Baphom3T I am fairly new to this site. You will find friendly people who will not push you to say or do anything you don't want to, I just hit 9 months sober . People will help you understand comments. No one will judge you and you can be real. I drank beer all the time whiskey I was like the devil. I am an alkie I drank at a very young age. I didn't want to stop but I lost everything, I didn't want to die. I now am back with family and life is good today. I take one day at a time. Nice to meet you and I am sure I will see you online.
